Pothina Mahesh, who has quit Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, has now officially joined the YSRCP party on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Mahesh quit the Jana Sena after he was denied a ticket to the Vijayawada West Assembly seat by Pawan Kalyan; as a part of their alliance agreement, the seat went to Y Sujana Chowdary.
On his social media handle X, Pothina shared the news of him joining the YSRCP party in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and shared pictures.
Pothina accused Pawan Kalyan for his political decisions before quitting. “So many people do not know the meaning of leadership, only after knowing this they should begin a party. We all believed that he would pave a way for a new generation. We trusted him for change and thought he would give scope to new generation politicians and blindly followed him,” said Pothina as he announced quitting.
