What's Up Mangalagiri? Who's winning?

Mangalagiri is going to put on a fiery show in the election this year as Jagan has taken the huge decision of fielding a female candidate against Nara Lokesh who already lost from here in 2019.

Coming to the 2024 scene, the situation is as tight as ever locally as certain polls say YCP's Lavanya will win the election while TDP loyalists say Lokesh will be the winner this time.

TDP candidate Nara Lokesh is contesting from this constituency, benefitting from the advantages of his family name and political legacy. Leveraging anti-government sentiment, Lokesh has garnered support, particularly from handloom workers, who are now rallying with him.

YSRCP faced challenges in finding a suitable candidate in this segment, leading to four changes in leadership before finally fixating on Lavanya.

Nevertheless, Lokesh is still not being seen as a worthy candidate here. It is essentially going to be a fight between pro-Jagan and anti-Jagan voters in Mangalagiri.
