AP police books Naidu and his Son for false propagation on Land Titling Act

Andhra Police have booked Telugu Desam Party(TDP) president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and TDP Nation Secretary, Nara Lokesh for allegedly propagating a fake campaign on Land Titling Act. This move comes after the election commission ordered an investigation into the case.

Vijayawada central MLA Malladi Vishnuvardhan, YSRCP leader lodged a complaint with Election commission(EC) against TDP for allegedly spreading false, incorrect and unverified allegations on AP Land Titling act. Subsequently EC ordered Andhra pradesh police to conduct an investigation.

According to the complaint The IVR calls were made by the TDP as a part of their political campaign. He said, “Parties, especially Telugu Desam Paraty(TDP), with a malafide intention to demean Y S jagan Moghan reddy as a land grabber and propagating false information Land Titling Act.”

The Crime Investigation department(CID) of Andhra pradesh booked a case under sections 171(G)(False statement in connection with an election) 171(G)(Undue influence or personation), 188(Deliberate disobedience), 505(2) Statements conducing to public mischief), 120(B) (Criminal conspiracy)of Indian penal code.
