Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh are extremely determined to work towards defeating Kodali Nani in his home turf of Gudivada. In individual meetings in Gudivada, both Lokesh and Naidu communicated to the public that the time had come for vocally provocative Kodali Nani to face his defeat.
However, Kodali Nani has his own theory on TDP's efforts to defeat him in Gudivada as he alleged that the overall expenditure to defeat him in Gudivada is around 200 crore rupees.

This time, he sold the MLA ticket to an NRI with the mutual understanding that the candidate would spend Rs 150 crores in the electioneering process to defeat me. He additionally gave 50 crore rupees to party funds. So the overall expenditure for TDP Gudivada ticket is 200 crore rupees.
