'The 100' is the title of actor RK Sagar's next film as the male lead. The 'Mogali Rekulu' actor's film will probably hit the screens in the second half of May or the first half of June. Writer-director Raghav Omkar Sasidhar has wielded the megaphone.
On the face of it, Sagar has made the biggest career move of his career. And it is also the riskiest one with high stakes involved. 'The 100' has him in the role of a cop who goes on a killing spree to establish law and order. This is the zone only top stars feel comfortable to dabble in. While superstar movies are multi-genre cop stories, 'The 100' seems to be an investigative thriller where commercial elements like romantic comedy and colourful songs are absent.
Even so, it is not easy for someone like Sagar to impress in the role of a ruthless cop. The expectations are different when you are making a serial for the small screen and a film for the big screen.
Producers Ramesh Karutoori, Venki Pushadhapu and J Tharak Ram have bankrolled the film. Cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, Editor Amar Reddy Kudumula and music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar have worked on the movie. The film's stunts have been composed by Vijay and Dragon Prakash.
