'Kismath', a youthful crime comedy starring Abhinav Gomatam and Naresh Agastya in lead roles, is produced by Comrade Film Factory and Atheera Productions. Also featuring Srinivas Avasarala, Vishwa Dev, Riya Suman, Ajay Ghosh, Temper Vamshi, Chammak Chandra and Racha Ravi, the film is written and directed by Srinath Badineni.
Ahead of the film's theatrical release on February 2, producer Raju held a pre-release event in Hyderabad on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the makers said that, thematically, the film delves into some serious issues. "Our film presents a positive-minded theme. It conveys the message that youngsters must believe in themselves rather than shortcuts," they added.
Director Srinath Badineni said, "I and producer Raju used to discuss the script every single day for six months. That's how the script development for 'Kismath' happened. Even though Avasarala garu is a filmmaker himself, he allowed me a free hand and delivered the performance I had in mind. Cinematographer Vedaraman Shankaran and composer Mark K Robin have delivered what was needed."
Team 'Kismath' is confident that the audience will have a blast watching their product. Avasarala Srinivas said, "This is director Srinath's debut movie. It's an honour that I got to play a role in someone else's debut movie. Robin's music is strong. Naresh and Abhinav are talented artists. It was fun working with them."
Abhinav Gomatam, known for 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi', quipped, "Our film is a crime comedy. And it will be a crime if you don't watch our film in theatres."
