Nayanthara's 75th film is going to hit the screens on December 1. The Tamil-language film is titled 'Annapoorani' and comes with the caption 'The Goddess of Food'. Presented by Zee Studios, Trident Arts and Naad Studios, the film's trailer is out.
The December 1st theatrical release has been drowned out by the hype and hoopla surrounding Ranbir Kapoor-Rashmika Mandanna's 'Animal' in Hindi and Telugu. That's why, despite the backing by Zee Studios, there is no attempt to simultaneously release 'Annapoorani' in Telugu.
Last year, another female-centric film of Nayanthara was released. Titled 'Connect', the feature film was a mega flop in theatres, especially in Telugu. That's another reason why the makers of 'Annapoorani' might have failed to find takers in the distribution sector.
Also starring Jai, Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsly, Achyuth Kumar, Kumari Sachu, Renuka, Karthik Kumar and Suresh Chakkaravarthy, the film is directed by Nilesh Krishna. Thaman S (music), Sathyan Sooryan (cinematography), Praveen Antony (editing), and G Durairaj (art direction) are working on the movie.
