Is a new female lead on the way for 'Guntur Kaaram'? As per highly-placed media sources, Pooja Hegde has been shunted out of the project.
The big-ticket 2024 release features Mahesh Babu in the lead. Trivikram's preference has been Pooja Hegde. However, as per rumours, the 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' wanted the out-of-form actress to be replaced. Producers S Naga Vamsi and S Radhakrishna, too, obliged.
The name of the new actress will be announced in due course of time. Sree Leela, the other female lead, has been retained.
Pooja's career has been jerky. 'Radhe Shyam', 'Beast', 'Acharya', 'Cirkus' and 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' have been a jarring experience for the actress. Her abrupt departure from 'Guntur Kaaram' only adds to her career woes.
The 'Maharshi' actress' downfall is concomitant with the surging ahead of Sree Leela, Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur in Telugu.
'Guntur Kaaram' will meanwhile commence a new schedule in the last week of this month. The film is slated to hit the screens for Sankranthi 2024 unless postponed.
