The film industry is undergoing revolutionary changes in technology, not only in filmmaking but also in screening. While the past 50 years have seen incredible advancements that have provided audiences with visual wonders, efforts are being made to provide even better entertainment.

Traditionally, movies in theaters have been projected onto screens using projectors. However, new technologies are being developed to use LED screens for theater screenings. Despite the previous difficulty in setting up large LED screens, companies such as LG claim that it is now possible due to advancements in technology.

The plan is to use LG's large LED TVs as screens in theaters. While some Hollywood movies are already being screened on LED screens, it is believed that not all movies will work well on these screens. One of the challenges is that the background music and score by certain music directors can be too intense for the LED screens, potentially causing damage.

Typically, theaters have large speakers behind the screen, as well as smaller ones at the sites and behind the screen. Without the sound boxes behind the screen, sound quality can suffer. Experiments are being conducted to determine how LED screens can be installed in theaters while still using the sound boxes. It is predicted that LED screens will be fully integrated into theaters by 2025.
