'Jithender Reddy' Trailer Review: Saffron hero bats for country and Dharma

Director Virinchi Varma and producer Muduganti Ravinder Reddy today unveiled the trailer for 'Jithender Reddy', which is slated to hit the screens on May 10.

In the film, lead actor Rakesh Varre portrays a student leader who transitions into a significant figure in social leadership, evolving into a militant saffron counterpart to Naxalism. In a scene, he asserts, "Those who take lives are not patriots. True patriots are those who sacrifice their lives for the country."

The trailer unveils Jithender Reddy as an idealistic individual aspiring to embody the roles of a doctor, a lawyer, a cop, and a leader all in one. He engages in confrontations with Communists on the university campus, boldly asserting India's Hindu identity. From the trailer's tone and content, it's evident that the film strongly resonates with the prevailing Hindutva sentiment in the nation.

Vaishali Raj (who plays a student from the hero's rival side) is the female protagonist, while Riya Suman has a key role. 'Chatrapathi' Sekhar, Subbaraju (as the hero's father) and Ravi Prakash are part of the cast.

The film's music is by Gopi Sundar.
