Kadiyam Kavya Drops From Candidacy, Big Shock To BRS?

Kadiyam Kavya, who secured her candidacy for the Warangal Lok Sabha Constituency from Bharat Rashtra Samithi on Thursday, March 28th, declared that she is withdrawing from contesting. Kadiyam Kavya is the daughter of former BRS minister Kadiyam Srihari.

In a purported letter dated March 28th, Kadiyam Kavya said, “For some days, the news regarding the corruption, land grabbing, phone tapping and liquor scam has destroyed the party's reputation. And at the local level, the lack of coordination among the party workers is further deteriorating its spirit.”

She added that in these circumstances, she decided to withdraw from contesting. And sought the forgiveness of KCR and the party workers. Telangana state is going for the Lok Sabha polls in the state, which will be held on April 11, 2024, in a single phase for the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies.
