Telugu Desam Party leader Devineni Smitha, daughter of Chalasani Pandu has got emotional and fired on the TDP for betraying them by not giving ticket to her for the Penamaluru constituency. TDP has given ticket to Bode Prasad from Penamaluru.
She addressed the media and vented out that TDP is giving tickets only to those who blackmail the party. “We have been supportive to the TDP party in all their endeavours even in our low times. We have done raithu rallies, door to door campaigns, but still our efforts have gone futile. All we asked was this ticket, we wanted to continue our fathers legacy, but we were betrayed in 2014 and even now.”
She further accused the party for not bothering about her as she is a women candidate. She said that the TDP has backstabbed them. Smitha further said that their family was not even given minimum respect, as they were not even informed about this decision over a phone call. “Until a week ago, it was said Bode Prasad would not get a ticket, but what changed now? Will you give tickets only to those who blackmail you? This is party lobbying,” lamented Smitha.
