The dissent due to seat sharing is only reaching peaks in the opposition alliance of Telugu Desam-Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party. On Saturday, March 23, 2024, Chandrababu Naidu’s convoy was stopped by the TDP leader Jaleel Khan cadre, as the speculations are on rife that the Vijayawada west might be given to Jana Sena or BJP.
Chandrababu Naidu was returning from A Convention hall after conducting a workshop for the contesting candidates in Vijayawada. Then he was stopped by the Jaleel Khan cadre, which gave rise to tensions on the spot. As a part of alliance, the seat might go to Gadde RamMohan or to any other BJP candidate, which seems to be disappointing Jaleel Khan and his troupe.
There have been multiple instances of dissent and protests due to seat sharing agreements among the opposition alliance. Andhra Pradesh is all set for elections and the voting is set to take place on May 13, 2024.
