The report from the Intelligence Department mentioned that Jagan has a threat from Maoists, terrorists and other anti-social forces. The IB department called for an immediate beef up for Jagan's security.

The statement from the IB department read that the CM needs enhanced security arrangements effective immediately. In view of the elevated security threat, the state government has arranged two special helicopters that will be at Jagan's service in Vijayawada and Vizag.

Jagan's security threat warning coming right before the AP election period has become a talking point and the fact that the CM is facing such a situation with 6 weeks to go for the polls is alarming.

Jagan has an existing Z category security and this will be enhanced further in view of the latest threat warning that was issued by the intelligence department. The home department is working on this matter now.
