A whooping 104 crores worth items were seized in this election season in the whole of Telangana. According to the official release posted by the Telangana state DGP office, there were around 104 crores worth of seizures of cash, liquor, precious metals, narcotic drugs and freebies. All the seizures took place from the day of implementation of model code of conduct on March 16, 2024 to till date as on April 28, 2024.
Going into the details, total cash of Rs.63.41 crores was seized, while liquor worth Rs.5 crores seized and along with other valuables. Meanwhile, it should be noted that around 7174 licensed arms were also deposited by various people in this election season, while 14 un-licensed arms were also seized.
The state of Telangana is going for Lok Sabha polls on May 13,2024 and the results of the same would be announced on June 4, 2024.
