A man aged 47, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, met his demise instantaneously when a bus struck him at Boston’s Logan International Airport, where he had gone to collect his acquaintance.

According to CBS News, the Massachusetts State Police stated that Vishwachand Kolla from Lexington was standing near the pavement of Terminal B when a Dartmouth Transportation motor coach hit him and dragged him along with the driver’s side of his SUV.

Although an off-duty nurse came forward to aid Kolla, he passed away at the scene. The bus driver’s name has not been disclosed by the police. She is a woman aged 54, who is cooperating with the police investigation and has declined medical treatment.

After the incident, the passengers were immediately evacuated from the bus, and all bus service at Terminal B was canceled for the remainder of the night.

Dartmouth Coach, in a statement, expressed their condolences and said that they were collaborating with the Massachusetts State Police and Massport to gather more information.

The Massachusetts State Police mentioned that the investigation is still ongoing and no criminal charges have been filed thus far.

Kolla was a data scientist by profession and was working as a Data Analytics Director at Takeda, according to his obituary. He also worked as a Management Consultant at Deloitte, John Hancock, IBM, Sun Microsystems, and Boston Consulting Group.

Moreover, he was an active participant in the Telugu and Indian communities in the Greater Boston area, including NRI Vasavi Association and Telugu Association of Greater Boston.

Kolla's obituary stated that he was a philanthropist who prioritized others over himself, led a minimalistic life, and was a spiritual person who devoted his life to Vedic and Spiritual living.

In a similar incident last month, Sreekanth Digala, a resident of Plainsboro hailing from Andhra Pradesh, passed away after being struck by an inter-city train in New Jersey.
