Pawan Kalyan gave just one good film in ten years: Dil Raju

Dil Raju today commented about Pawan Kalyan's low phase in films. He was addressing a question about Vijay Deverakonda's relatively poor form in recent years in a presser related to 'Family Star' on Monday.

"All actors go through low phases. Pawan Kalyan garu delivered just one good film from 'Kushi' to 'Gabbar Singh'. In those ten years, the only good film that came from him was 'Jalsa'," Dil Raju reminded the scribe.

The producer added, "It is relatively easy for actors. One day, they surge ahead. Another day, they might see a low. They yet again rise. It is producers and directors who can't afford to be in a low phase for a sustained period. If that happens, it is over for them."

Raju, reposing faith in Vijay Deverakonda's market stamina, said that he would be doing two more films with him in the coming years.

'Family Star', directed by Parasuram Petla, will hit the screens on April 5. Mrunal Thakur is its hero. "Questions have been raised about how the male lead in the film uses branded products despite his hailing from a middle-class family. Don't branded products have counterfeits?" Dil Raju questioned.
