Keerthy Suresh, who was last year seen in 'Bholaa Shankar', is returning to Telugu. This time, it is not for a theatrical release. 'Uppu Kappu Rambu', her next Telugu project, is an Amazon Prime Original. Suhas is its male lead. The 'Ambajipeta Marriage Band' actor and the 'Mahanati' actress will share screen space in this comedy.
"In this satirical comedy, a fictional village faces an extraordinary crisis as the cemetery runs out of space. Uproarious chaos ensues as the community rallies together, finding inventive solutions to overcome this unusual predicament," the makers said.
Produced by Ellanar Films' Radhika Lavu, the film is directed by Ani IV Sasi. Its story is written by Vasanth Muralikrishna Maringanti.
Amazon Prime Video is also presenting another Telugu-language original. Titled 'Cheekati Lo', it is produced by Suresh Productions. Helmed by Chandra Pemmaraju, the film will stream on Prime later this year. It is an investigative crime thriller wherein a woman pursues an absconding serial rapist.
