Sumaya Reddy's 'Dear Uma' up for theatrical release

Sumaya Reddy, a Telugu girl from Andhra Pradesh, is the story-writer, producer and female lead of 'Dear Uma', an entertainer produced by Suma Chitra Arts. Starring Prithvi Amber as the male lead, the film has its screenplay and dialogues written by director Sai Rajesh Mahadev.

The makers have informed the media that the film's shoot is finished. "The post-production activities are nearing completion. It’s a feel-good love story with a positive-minded message," Sumaya said, adding that the audience can expect high technical standards from the movie.

"Love, family and action will impress all sections of the audience," director Mahadev added.

With Raj Thota as the cameraman and Radhan as the music director, the film stars Kamal Kamaraju of 'Arjun Reddy' fame, comedian Saptagiri, Ajay Ghosh (recently seen in 'Guntur Kaaram' as Hari Das), Aamani, Rajeev Kanakala, Prithviraj and Roopa Lakshmi in different roles.

Since feel-good love stories, that too those written by female writers, are rare to come by, let's hope 'Dear Uma' is going to be promising!
