In the face of criticism suggesting that Mahesh Babu has portrayed smoking in a glamorous light in 'Guntur Kaaram,' the superstar clarified in his recent interview that he does not endorse smoking. Emphasizing that he is a non-smoker, he reiterated his stance on discouraging the habit.
"I initially tried the traditional bidi and experienced a severe headache. I approached Trivikram garu and asked for an alternative. He arranged for an Ayurvedic bidi with zero tobacco content, and from then on, I felt more comfortable," Mahesh explained.
Herbal Bidis are made of natural herbs and extracts. They are not popular because they are not affordable to the poor.
During the interview, Mahesh also shared his determination to showcase his best dance moves. "Following 'Guntur Kaaram', it's improbable that I will have dance numbers in my upcoming movies," he stated. Mahesh's next film with SS Rajamouli is on the horizon, but its release is anticipated to be at least 2 to 2.5 years away.
Meanwhile, 'Guntur Kaaram' is playing in theatres. Starring Sree Leela, Prakash Raj and others, the action drama will stream on Netflix after its theatrical run.
