'LEO': Gory scenes refined and softened!

It has been revealed that Thalapathy Vijay's 'LEO' is going to feature extremely violent scenes. So much so, the British Board of Film Classification has given it an 15+ certificate.

Ahimsa Entertainment, which is releasing the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial in the UK, held discussions with the BBFC for the right certificate. "We found a path to a 15-rated version of 'LEO' with very minimal unnoticeable refining (softening ultra close-up shots of just a few violent and gory aftermaths)," the company today said.

The film, whose music is by Anirudh Ravichander, features visuals of "strong violence and detailed gory scenes that ended up being more graphic than even we anticipated, it's not for the faint-hearted."

A child-friendly 12A version of the film has been turned down by the distributors. "Creating such a version of the film would mean completely removing all the major action scenes and key sequences — which are the highlights. This would make the film very different from its original version, and it's not a direction we are looking to explore. To all parents who looked forward to bringing their kids to this film, we sincerely apologize," Ahima Entertainment today said.
