The General Elections in Telangana are on cards this year. It is a common phenomenon to see the transferring of cops within the state at this hour. Some police officers are transferred in the state of Telangana and in this regard, the GO number 16 dated 3rd of January signed by The CS to Government Somesh Kumar as an order in the name of the Governor of Telangana was released. Though a section of society is attributing this to an election exercise, the officials in the government are saying that it has got nothing to do with election, but a general practice within the department. As per the GO, the following transfers and postings of IPS Officers are notified:-1.
