Now that BRS has been launched formally, with regards to AP, Telangana CM KCR is not making grand statements for the simple reason that more groundwork has to be done. Moreover, it will take some time for AP people to find KCR appealing due to the past distrust during Telangana agitation.
However, this doesn’t mean KCR wll focus less on Andhra. But he wants to do it confidently and in a planned manner. The way KCR is accepting Andhra leaders into his party one by one is a clear indication that he understands the complex caste calculations in Andhra Pradesh.
His past experience as a TDP leader and Minister in United AP as well as his understanding of how this caste dimension plays out in terms of power and influence in Hyderabad among Andhra groups is something that KCR is totally aware of and he wants to play the right cards at the right time.
