Speculation: Congress party rejected Dil Raju's brother because of temple

It has been rumoured that star film producer Dil Raju, who must be one of the richest producers in the country, was wooed by the Congress ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Rumours in February had it that the 'Game Changer' and 'Family Star' producer was offered Nizamabad constituency by the national party. He was also given the option to choose Zaheerabad - by the BJP. Raju showed no interest in venturing into active politics.

However, Raju's elder brother V Narasimha Reddy did evince interest in joining Telangana's ruling party. The Congress party rumouredly declined to give him a ticket because his family has built the Induru Tirumala Temple in Narsingpally. "The temple was seen as a possible handicap and Reddy was not picked by the party which instead gave the ticket to senior leader T Jeevan Reddy," a report published by Deccan Chronicle says.

If true, the BJP is likely to pick up such issues locally to project Congress as an anti-Hindu party. DC is considered a pro-Congress newspaper and if it is saying something communal about Congress, there must be something serious happening behind the doors!
