The phone-tapping scam in Telangana is turning out to be a nail-biting political thriller with each passing day. As per a source-based speculation made by a special correspondent associated with a prominent news daily, the VIP barrack in the Chanchalguda jail is being readied in anticipation of a few high-profile arrests in connection with the case.
As per the media person, it is in this jail that the arrested leaders will be lodged. "A few top political leaders who indulged in phone tapping during the BRS regime will be put up in the jail. The arrest of those big leaders is expected soon. One IPS and three senior police officials are already lodged in Chanchalguda jail," he wrote.
Recently Hyderabad police arrested three D. Praneet Rao DCP, Thirupathanna, Addl DCP, formerly Addl SP, SIB, and N Bhujanga Rao, Addl SP, formerly Addl SP, Intelligence Department. Former State Intelligence Bureau Chief T Prabhakar Rao and former DCP of Commissioner's Task Force P Radhakrishna have also been booked. According to the police, the accused officers indulged in illegal phone tapping to monitor certain "private persons" illegally.
