BRS fields two IAS officers in parliament elections race

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS) has announced two more candidates who will be contesting the upcoming parliament elections on Friday, March 22. Interestingly, two former IAS officers, R S Praveen Kumar and Venkatram Reddy have secured the tickets from Nagar Kurnool and Medak respectively.

It is known that R S Praveen Kumar has recently quit the Bahujan Samajwadi Party and joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. Now, he has managed to be the contesting candidate for the BRS. It has to be seen if this move would help the BRS to stand against the ruling Congress party.

Earlier, BRS has announced the names of 11 contesting candidates and now, the party supremo KCR has finalised the names of these two candidates, making it to total of 13 out of 17 parliament seats. And the party is yet to announce its candidates for Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Nalgonda, and Bhuvanagiri.
