Electoral Bonds: Top Companies Big Funding To BRS

BRS was in power for almost 10 years and with a long tenure, the party had expectedly accumulated hefty monetary gains from private entities. The same was publicized when the SBI presented the transaction details pertaining to the electoral bonds. Who made the biggest donations to BRS in the last few years? Here's a look.

In total, BRS had received a whopping Rs 1322 crore through electoral bonds since the inception of the program in 2018. Out of Rs 1,322 cr that it received, Kaleshwaram contractor Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited donated Rs 195 cr. The second biggest donor to BRS via electoral bonds is Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital, with ₹94 cr.

Chennai Green Woods Company of Ramky Group is the third biggest donor to BRS. Ramky Group is involved in real estate and handles the waste management project at Jawaharnagar, Hyderabad. Chennai Green Woods has donated ₹50 cr to BRS.

Dr Reddys Lab and Hetero Drugs donated ₹32 cr and ₹30 cr each. Hetero is owned by BRS Rajya Sabha MP B Pardhasaradhi Reddy. It is evident that BRS was backed very well by these top private entities.
