Mynampally Rohit has entered the record book as the youngest-aged MLA from Telangana. At just 26 years of age, he won from Medak constituency in the recent election. But he is now in the news for a bad reason.
According to the social media post from a reputed journalist, Rohith threatened to kill a senior journalist named Siddireddy Srinivas Reddy who runs a YouTube channel and takes part in political debates. Reportedly Srinivas Reddy was confronted by Rohit at the Telangana secretariat on 12 December.
The incident happened while Srinivas Reddy was waiting to greet CM Revanth Reddy at the secretariat, reports say. Rohith, who was also at the secretariat at that time, allegedly confronted the journalist and said "What do you think of yourself? You will die in my hands". This led to a heated argument between the two of them and they had to be separated by the people who were there.
The journalist hasn't yet filed a complaint against Rohit after the incident. It appears that Rohit took offense to a certain analysis or debate of Srinivas Reddy and that triggered him to threaten the journalist. But regardless, this aggressive behavior from the young MLA is unexpected and uncalled for.
