Convoy is usually given to the chief ministers and cabinet ministers for ensuring a brisk and safe passage while out in public. However, an incident in Telangana has given a hint about the gross misuse of power by the newly elected Congress government.
A video of CM Revanth Reddy’s brother, Kondal Reddy who actively campaigned for Revanth in Kodangal constituency, going in a convoy is viral now. He was going to meet with senior Congress leader Shabbir Ali in Kamareddy. Shabbir Ali lost his election from Nizamabad Urban to BJP candidate Dhanpal Suryanarayana.
The misuse of the government convoy for Kondal Reddy who has no part in the Telangana government has led to a stern backlash now. This has become a hot topic and Kondal Reddy is being called out for wasting public's money for his private tour while he holds no position in the government.
It has to be seen if the Congress government will take stern action against the same as incidents like these can seriously dent the prospects of the party in the public's eye.
