Doctors have warned me about the risk of infections: KCR

BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today issued a video statement in which he urged people not to visit him in the hospital. Last week, he underwent hip replacement surgery after a fall in his residence.

In his statement, KCR said that doctors have advised him against having visitors. "The doctors have cautioned me that I risk suffering from an infection if I keep entertaining visitors. And an infection could prolong my recovery. They warned me that the recuperation could take months if something goes wrong," KCR said.

The former CM profusely thanked those who were concerned about his health and who had visited him personally. Celebs such as Chiranjeevi and stalwarts such as Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu personally visited him.

KCR also said that the visitations have been causing traffic issues around the hospital since people are coming out in hundreds and thousands from different parts of the State. "The team of doctors here wants me to take the risk of infections seriously. I hold my hands to plead with you all not to come over here to see me. For the next 10 days, I won't be having visitors," KCR said.
