Arvind Kejriwal Issued Second Order From ED Custody

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued his second order from the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) custody on March 26, 2024. While the first order of Kejriwal’s is related to the adequate water supply, this time, it is about the availability of medicines.

Addressing the media, Delhi Health minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, said, “The second order is related to availability of free medicines and pathological tests at government-run Mohalla clinics, A middle class person can buy medicines, but lakhs of underprivileged families in Delhi are completely dependent on government hospitals and Mohalla clinics for medicines. Some of these medicines need to be taken lifelong”.

"A middle-class person can buy medicines, but lakhs of Delhi's disadvantaged families rely solely on government hospitals and Mohalla clinics. Some of these medicines need to be taken for life. Although Arvind Kejriwal is in ED custody he still thinks about the welfare of Delhi people,"said Mr Bharadwaj at a press meet.

It is pertinent to note that Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam. The special PMLA court in Delhi remanded Arvind Kejriwal for ED custody for six days till March 28, 2024.
