After a series of legal hurdles, finally there seems to be some movement regarding the agenda of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government regarding decentralization, which has been his key agenda that he spelt out in 2019 itself.

Now finally the ball seems to be rolling. Sources say since the Supreme Court has lifted an earlier order regarding a timeline to develop Amaravati, AP CM Jagan is getting ready to shift the CM camp office from Tadepalli to Vizag.

It is known that the YSRCP government feels that Vizag has all the potential to be the capital while Amaravati can remain the legislative capital. However, this may invite more fury from the opposition parties in AP even as the Jagan led administration is firm about implementing the decentralization plan and in this regard a bill may be tabled soon. The formal shift may begin after Ugadi.
