YSRCP General secretary and Government Advisor for Public affairs, Sajjala Rama Krishna Reddy alleged that suspension of pension disbursements was orchestrated by TDP chief Nara Chandra Babu Naidu.
Speaking to the media Sajjala said, “From the last four years, the elderly and physically challenged are completely dependent on the pension of the YSRCP government for their sustenance. The amount Rs 3000 is deemed to be sufficient for them. Through EC they stopped the pension disbursement. It is a trailer of the disaster that will happen if he is voted to power by mistake”.
Reminiscing how the elderly and physically challenged used to suffer when the TDP was in power, Sajjala said, “We all know what happened. If some eligible person wants to take pension he has to stand in a huge queue and when someone has to get the pension sanctioned he has to bribe the Janmabhoomi committees”.
He further alleged, “Nimmagada Ramesh Kumar working on behalf of Chandra Babu Naidu. Naidu doesn’t want to be blamed for stopping the pension. So he is using the outfit Citizen for Democracy to stop the volunteer system and filing cases against the volunteer system”.
