“Take your words back, Naidu”: Protests erupt against derogatory comments on YSRCP candidate

Lorry owners association has condemned the Telugu Desam chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s derogatory comments against YSRCP MLA candidate for the Singanamala constituency, Veeranjaneyulu. Protests erupted and slogans were raised against Naidu in Kurnool district on Sunday, March 31, 2024.

Diwan Kayyum, Kurnool Lorry Association president, speaking in this context, said that this is not a welcoming comment by Chandrababu Naidu on the YSRCP candidate. “What if he is a lorry driver or owner. Without a driver, no one can go forward. We are against these kinds of comments, and we are condemning it.”

Addressing Chandrababu Naidu, “From 2014-2019, you were the power, but there were no jobs. As a result, an educated man became a tipper driver, though he studied well,if he got a job, he would not have become a driver. And, this is not a bad thing. What is wrong if he is entering the assembly,” said another driver, demanding Naidu to take his words back.
