Usually, heroes and mainstream actors who are active in the film industry refrain from entering politics in order to avoid political altercations. But young hero Nikhil has set aside this notion as he showed affiliation towards the Telugu Desam Party the other day in the presence of Nara Lokesh. He was formally greeted by Lokesh, in what could be considered a significant step forward by the young hero as the Telugu states head for the election battle.
Nikhil congratulated his Mavayya Kondayya Yadav who got the TDP ticket from Chirala and that is why he met and greeted Lokesh yesterday.
Earlier, the YSR Congress government troubled Pawan Kalyan, who was leading the JSP camp, by enforcing ticket price restrictions for Vakeel Saab and Bheemla Nayak in the name of Covid norms. A similar scenario was seen in the case of Nani's Shyam Singha Roy after he commented against the ticket pricing restrictions imposed by the AP government.
In the case of Nikhil, if he campaigns for TDP and necessarily speaks against the YSR Congress government, there is the risk of him being targeted by the Jagan government if it comes to power again. This could affect the box office chances of the young hero's upcoming films that are being made on a big scale. But Nikhil doesn't appear to be bothered by this as he has consciously taken the decision to join TDP ahead of AP polls.
Nikhil is no stranger to AP elections either. He earlier campaigned for JSP's Sandeep Panchakarla and JD Lakshminarayana in 2019. He could be campaigning for TDP and possibly to other candidates of the NDA alliance in AP in the election campaign. This is a daring decision from the buzzing young hero.
