AP State Olympic Association general secretary KP Rao's warning to Seema leaders that "Rowdyism was born in Bejawada, we don't need to be taught about rowdyism" directed against SAAP (Sports Authority) Chairman Baireddy Siddardareddy sparked a political uproar. However, it is noteworthy that Minister Roja was also present at the time of making these comments.

SAAP has arranged a meeting with sports associations in Vijayawada. In this meeting attended by Minister Roja, many representatives protested saying that SAP Chairman Byreddy Siddhartha Reddy had insulted him with vulgar language. Many officials including Minister Roja, SAAP Chairman Baireddy Siddhartha Reddy attended the meeting held at Vijayawada Indira Gandhi Stadium.

Representatives of various sports associations attended and addressed the problems faced by the sports sector in the state. At the same time, KP Rao, the general secretary of the state Olympic association, expressed his opinion that some officials in SAAP are causing loss to the athletes. While Rao was speaking, SAP Chairman Byreddy Siddhartha Reddy scolded him saying 'Who are you?'

At this stage, when Siddharth Reddy's entourage rushed up to attack KP Rao, sources say KP Rao got angry who said that Rayalaseema rowdyism should not be shown here and he said that if rowdyism is done in Bejawada, the birthplace of rowdyism, Siddharth Reddy will be shown the place. Minister Roja has been a mute spectator at the event.
