TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is holding regular meetings across the state, while TDP National Secretary Nara Lokesh is busy with his Yuva Galam padayatra, which covers 4000 kilometers across the state. The party is hopeful that this will help them win the upcoming elections.

Additionally, the TDP is reportedly in talks with rebel leaders from the ruling YSRCP and has assured them of tickets if they join the party. Narsapur MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju started the trend of rebel leaders after being arrested and sent to jail on sedition charges. Former Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has also made controversial comments against the YSRCP questioning the party's ability to win elections and comparing their performance to the TDP.

Another key leader from Nellore, Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, also had issues with the YSRCP and was accused of joining the TDP. As a result, the YSRCP parted ways with him.  The TDP hopes to bring these rebel leaders into the party fold to strengthen their position for the upcoming polls.

Many observers are asking whether TDP doesn't have its own leaders within all such segments such that it is now dependent on YSRCP rebel MLA's. This is also not giving a good signal to the TDP cadre, that Babu is depending on rebels from the ruling party and whether he is not confident of his own people.
