One of the most challenging and anxious phases for a political party is when elections are nearby and it is time to decide who should get the ticket to contest and who should not. In Andhra Pradesh, the countdown has started and it is heard that CM Jagan is holding a meeting in March regarding this.

Meanwhile, internal sources close to the YSRCP are now saying that at least two places look confirmed. Well, according to them, MLA Medapati Vikram would be moved to Nellore and he would be given the MP ticket.

On the other hand, the Athmakur constituency also is going to get a heavyweight contestant. The grapevine is strong that either Ananya Reddy, daughter of the late Mekapati Goutham Reddy, or his brother Prithvi Kumar Reddy, would be given the ticket to contest from here. If this happens it is going to be an interesting contest in both areas.
