No one needs an introduction on the importance of the Laddu Prasadam which is offered at Tirumala once the Darshan is completed.  It is not just about the offering but also the taste which is unique and not found in any other temple across the world. As a result, the demand for the laddus is very high and as it is, the temple is thronged by crores of devotees each year.

In lieu of that, the TTD has taken a crucial decision regarding the Laddus. They are now taking the aid of technology. Speaking about this, TTD's EO Dharma Reddy has reportedly announced that by December 2023 a new system will be in place wherein machines will manufacture the Laddus. It is heard that these machines can produce 6 lakh Laddus in a day.

The machinery has been imported from countries like Switzerland, Germany, Australia and Dharma Reddy assured that there will be no compromise on the quality. He maintained that with this system, the Laddu requirement of the devotees can be taken care of comfortably.

Also, a new building has been constructed opposite the Vengamamba Anna Prasada Bhavan for the counting of coins. Here again, a new machine costing Rs 4.5 crores is being imported from Germany and this will do the counting and packing of the coins.

Another important development is the introduction of digital services for the devotees. TTDevasthanams app has been launched and it is getting a good response. This app provides latest details on accommodation, Sevas and Darshan. One can also use the app for making donations, booking for Srivari Seva, Sarva Darsanam, Anga Pradakshina. Through push notifications, one can get information on the Utsavas being conducted.
