The town of Raptadu has lands belonging to a temple and they are worth crores. This has been eyed by the Paritala family and they came up with a devious plan to grab it. What was meant to have a guest house now has the office of TDP which comes as a shocker.
According to reports, survey number 554-2 (old survey number 474) has 33.44 acres of land belonging to the endowments department. This was given for lease to APIIC and in turn they have leased the land to the welfare of Autonagar workers. In that land, about 1.02 acres was left over and this caught the attention of the then TDP government. As a result, on August 20th, 2018, the local Panchayat board gave a ruling that this land is being allotted for a guest house. However, what got constructed was the TDP party office.
Apparently, the then Tahasildar Nagabhushanam had written a letter to APIIC Zonal manager regarding this matter and no permissions were given. And sources reveal there are no records to prove permission was given. Hence, it is clearly evident that the land was grabbed illegally. A legal matter is on but it only goes to show how TDP has stooped to such cheap acts.
