NATS, NATA, and TANA, the three major Telugu associations in North America, are holding their events within a span of two months, resulting in a fierce competition among them. The NATS Telugu Sambaralu is scheduled for May 26th-28th in New Jersey, while NATA is conducting its event in Dallas, Texas on June 26th-28th. The TANA event is set to be held in Philadelphia in the first week of July, coinciding with American Independence Day.
The competition among these associations is a positive sign as it encourages them to bring out their best for the Telugu community in North America. However, organizing such events requires huge funds, and the close proximity of the dates has made it challenging for the associations to gather funds. Despite this, the events are expected to be grand and will see the presence of many Tollywood celebrities.
The events provide an opportunity for Telugu-speaking people in North America to come together, celebrate their culture and language, and build a sense of community. The associations also undertake several social and cultural initiatives to promote the Telugu language and culture.
