It has always been feared that terrorists getting hold of a bio laboratory containing dangerous viruses can create large-scale havoc. Something of that sort has happened now, as per the World Health Organization. The WHO has been quoted as saying that an "extremely serious situation and a huge biological risk" has come about after a bio-lab containing virus samples fell into the control of so-called rebels/fighters in Sudan.
The "laboratory holding measles and cholera pathogens and other hazardous materials" is now firmly in their control, international media reports have said. Evacuation of researchers belonging to different countries has been on.
Here is what the BBC reported about the issue: "Sudan's National Public Health Laboratory lies just outside the area where Sudan's military headquarters are located."
So far, more than 500 people are believed to have died in a deadly fight that erupted between the Sudanese armed forces and Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitaries on April 15.
Netizens and many activists believe that plans are afoot to create another pandemic for the benefit of some evil forces (in the West). Of course, at this point in time, it is only a conspiracy theory.
