Recently, the Indian High Commission building in London had its national flag pulled down by Khalistani supporters during a protest against the crackdown on Amritpal Singh. However, a High Commission official responded by putting up a huge Tricolour flag outside the building, which has since gone viral on social media. Many people have applauded the move and criticized the actions of the Khalistani supporters.

The Indian government expressed its anger at the incident and summoned the British deputy high commissioner, Christina Scott, to demand an explanation for the lack of security at the high commission premises. The government also criticized the UK government's "indifference" to Indian diplomats and personnel.

UK's Minister of State for Foreign Commonwealth & Development Affairs, Lord Tariq Ahmed, condemned the attack on the Indian High Commission and stated that he was "appalled" by the incident. The incident comes on the heels of Punjab Police hunting down the supporters of separatist Amrit Pal Singh and his supporters in Punjab.

Amrit Pal Singh is on the run, but police are doing their best to nab him, to put down any Khalistani movement revival in the sensitive border state of Punjab. It is suspected that ISI has started playing the deadly game again after a gap of three decades.
