From a man who was known as the ‘Man with the golden hand’ to someone who has become a nucleus for various controversies, producer/distributor Dil Raju has come a long way. In recent times, his controversies seem to be taking more prominence and now he has done something which is again raising eyebrows.

It is known news that Dil Raju has rescheduled the release of his new movie ‘Vaarasudu’ from 12th to 14th January. He has quoted that he did this out of immense respect for megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna. However, sources close to the producer and the media circles have revealed yet another side to this story.

Well, Dil Raju has an iron grip over theatres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and it is heard that he had blocked all of them for 12th with the intent of releasing ‘Vaarasudu’ on that date. Buzz is that when he was approached to release a few theatres, he was upfront in saying his first priority will be his own movie and not the other ones.

However, he has realized that by pitting against ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, his film will become a second choice. As such ‘Vaarasudu’ got very poor response for the trailer and even hero Vijay has not shown an inclination to do any promotions. On the other hand, it is heard that there has been a significant delay during dubbing which led to a delay for censor as well.

If 12th was not working, why Dil Raju was not releasing it on 13th. Well, if that happens then ‘Vaarasudu’ will clash against ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and again the film would have become a second choice. Keeping all this in mind, Dil Raju has pushed his film to 14th and as a result, it has killed all the prospects for the small budget movie ‘Kalyanam Kamaneeyam’ featuring Santosh Sobhan.

However, when asked about it frankly, it is heard that Dil Raju covered it up by saying he did it out of respect for both the big stars and projected it like a noble sacrifice. But the media folks say it is not respect but fear that his dubbed flick ‘Vaarasudu’ will take a bad beating against the more superior and well made straight Telugu films. They also add that by doing like this, Dil Raju has once again proved he has no mercy for the small budget flicks and he is killing them.
