'Mass Ka Das' is what the film industry calls him. Actor Vishwak Sen, who is known for masculine roles in films like 'Gangs Of Godavari', is now going to be seen as a woman in one of his upcoming movies. Titled 'Laila', the film goes on the floors today.
Produced by Sahu Garapati of Shine Screens, the romantic action entertainer is written and directed by Ram Narayan. On Wednesday, a pooja ceremony was held in Hyderabad to launch the movie and announce its release date as well. The film will hit the screens on February 14, 2025.
Starring debutante Akanksha Sharma as the female lead, the film's music is by Tanishk Bagchi and Ghibran. Also written by Vasudeva Murthy, its cinematography is by Richard Prasad. Brahma Kadali and Anwar Ali are its art director and editor, respectively.
Vishwak Sen is known for films like 'Das Ka Dhamki' and 'Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam'. His next release this year is 'Mechanic Rocky'. 'Laila', however, is the most important of his releases in terms of his characterization and novelty.
