People Media Factory's 'Maa Kaali' lands a Teaser

"The Brutal Truth of Partition & the Bloody History of Bengal that no one DARES to talk about. Witness the ERASED saga of Tragedy & Courage (sic)," People Media Factory wrote today, unveiling the Teaser for 'Maa Kaali', one of its upcoming movies to be released simultaneously in Telugu, Bengali, and Hindi.

The film's Teaser makes it clear that the events narrated by it are set around Direct Action Day (16 August 1946), which is considered one of the darkest chapters in the history of India. Coming with the caption 'The Story Of MotherLand', the film narrates how the Muslim League orchestrated anti-Hindu riots to partition Bengal.

The film, based on the 1946 Calcutta Killings, is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad. Raima Sen and Abhishek Singh have major roles.

Written and directed by Vijay Yelakanti, the film is co-produced by Vivek Kuchibotla. With music done by Anurag Halder, its sound design has been done by JR Ethiraaj. Acharya Venu is its director of photography. With lyrics penned by Kunaal Vermaa, the period drama is edited by Kiran Ganti.
