Director Shankar has three rare genres in mind

Director Shankar has revealed that he has three subjects in mind. He will take one of them up after he completes 'Indian 3' and Ram Charan's 'Game Changer'.

The 'Robot' director is interested in making a historical film. He didn't divulge if it is going to be based on any personality or event. Either way, it will be exciting for him to tackle the broad historical genre, something he hasn't done before.

Another one is a spy thriller of the James Bond variety. "It is obviously not a James Bond film. I am referring to the fictional character to give you an idea as to what is in my mind," Shankar said.

The third one is a sci-fi movie titled '2012'. It will have a couple of underwater sequences as well.

"To realize their epic scope, these films necessitate groundbreaking VFX. The substantial budgets reflect this creative vision, not simply high costs," Shankar said.

The director awaits the release of 'Indian 2' on July 12. The vigilante action drama is headlined by Kamal Haasan and Shankar. Bobby Simha and SJ Suryah have pivotal parts in it.
