Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maharaja' gets raving reviews

Actor Vijay Sethupathi's 50th movie is titled 'Maharaja'. It is helmed by Nithilan Saminathan. The film will hit the screens on June 14.

Early premieres in Chennai have seen Kollywood critics rave about its content. Here we bring you some interesting responses:

"Occasionally, films have so much meat that it's a joyful experience to introspect about them, to sit and consider your own emotional responses, to dwell on the themes and patterns and all the little details," wrote Sudhir Srinivasan of TNIE.

"Rarely a movie gets both cinematic presentation and content perfect.. This is one of those rare movies," wrote Ramesh Bala, a social media influencer and BO tracker.

"Still yet to come out of that ending which felt like a big slap," wrote film critic Siddarth Srinivas.

NVR Cinemas has obtained the theatrical rights to the movie for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

B Ajaneesh Loknath of 'Kantara' and 'Virupaksha' fame is the film's music director. Its editing has been done by Philomin Raj.
