Can 'Manjummel Boys' scare 'Family Star'?

Vijay Deverakonda has pinned hopes on 'Family Star' and understandably so. The film's success will catapult his stardom to the next level, just like how 'Geetha Govindam' did in 2018. But if it doesn't go well, he will be a disappointed man for another nine months to one year (until the release of his next movie). Last year's 'Kushi' had nothing much for him in terms of enhancing his stardom.

'Family Star' is slated to be released on April 5. Just when everyone thought it will have a solo release, Mythri Movie Makers has decided to come in with a competitor. The Mollywood blockbuster 'Manjummel Boys' will have a Telugu-dubbed release on April 6. Mythri's Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni want to go for a big release at least in Nizam.

'Family Star' needs to enjoy a unanimously positive 'word of mouth' on April 5. Otherwise, there is a serious threat of 'Manjummel Boys' affecting Family Star's weekend collections negatively.

All eyes are now on the trailer for 'Family Star'. If the trailer is appealing, the openings are going to be great. Director Parasuram Petla needs to show up!
