'My Dear Donga', starring Abhinav Gomatam and Shalini Kondepudi in the lead, is directed by BS Sarwagna Kumar. Produced by Cam Entertainmement, it is an Aha release.
The story essentially revolves around the characters played by the 'Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi' actor Abhinav and Shalini (who has previously appeared in YouTube videos and is also the writer of the OTT film). The former poses as a thief who wants to 'steal' Shalini's friendship! The female lead lets the stranger stay with her. The equations turn topsy-turvy with, at one point in time, the cops chasing them.
The use of situational comedy and slapstick humor is apparent. As the teaser progresses, there is a parodic nod to the outdated movie trope where an otherwise virtuous character resorts to thievery due to familial difficulties.
The new-age comedy, produced by Maheshwar Reddy Gojala, is yet to lock its release date. Also starring Divya Sripada, Nikhil Gajula, and Sai Sashank Manduri, the trailer for 'My Dear Donga' will be out soon.
As for Abhinav, he was recently seen as a lead man in the theatrical release 'Masthu Shades Unnai Ra'. Divya was seen as the female lead in 'Sundaram Master'.
